Recurring Invoices: Bill Retainers on Autopilot

What Recurring Invoices do

Recurring Invoices let you set up a billing schedule once, then SmartlyQ issues and sends a fresh invoice each cycle. They are built for the retainers and subscriptions you bill by invoice, so clients pay on the same schedule without you lifting a finger.

Where to find it

Open Payments and choose Recurring Invoices. The page shows how many recurring profiles you have and how many are active, with a search and status filter.

Create a recurring profile

Click New recurring invoice, pick a customer, add your line items, and choose a cadence - for example monthly. Save it, and SmartlyQ issues and sends each invoice automatically on that schedule.

Good to know

  • Each profile shows its cadence, next issue date and status.
  • Use the search and status filter to find a profile once you have several.
  • Recurring profiles live alongside one-off invoices and estimates in the Payments suite.
